Welcome to the University of Miami
- Industrial Assessment Center (MIIAC) homepage. We are one of
26 centers supported by the
U.S. Department of Energy at universities across the country.
We provide no cost energy, waste and productivity assessments to
small and medium-sized manufacturers. MIIAC is located in Coral
Gables, Florida. Engineering students and faculty conduct the
assessments and provide a report to summarize their findings and
recommendations. |

Recommendations from industrial
assessments have averaged about $55,000 in potential annual savings
for each manufacturer. |
There are numerous
ways to go about the process of conducting an industrial assessment.
This web site is intended to provide an overview of the sources of
services currently available to manufacturers in South Florida.
